Yes, it's a rant, but pretty short-sided. No one has ever said honeybees are better pollinators than local species. Most educated folks recognize that certain bees (bumblebees and mason bees, for example) are actually more efficient flower-to-flower than honeybees. Honeybees are part of our pollination landscape, not the be-all end-all. Although they are pretty niffty.
